“ILLUSTRATION” SERIES

Eva Wolf-Schliesser not only wishes her art to be representative, but also to convey issues, thoughts and emotions which open up new points of view and interpretative perspectives for the viewer – an artistic intention that in her illustrative works finds expression in fables, biblical stories and literature.

At the beginning of the 1990s, she worked on a series of animal paintings using screen printing techniques. These paintings are characterised by imaginative motifs and unusual colour compositions. Eva Wolf-Schliesser tells interesting stories in an eidetic way and seduces the viewer into a sensual and fantastic world – a world that can enable the viewer to expand his or her consciousness beyond reality.
